The members of Met-Art have come to expect great things from Roy

lens man, renowned for his ability to capture rare, pristine, and
natural amateur stories in a series, has gone to Spain and returned
with a poignant and alluring new set of shots. The girl, the setting,
the narrative will all be highly prized by our discriminating clique
of viewers.
For those of you who don’t know, a “bolero” is
a Spanish dance that occurs in triple time, is danced by a couple,
and is usually accompanied by castanets. It has a long history in
Spain of being a courtship dance, performed at gypsy bars and underground
salons. When a couple dances the bolero, sparks are set to fly.
And the sparks definitely fly in this hot pictorial. They are not
wild sparks of a Bourbillon, or the subtle sparks of a Murrian,
but the natural, innocent sparks of Roy Stuart. In essence, what
you have here is a refreshing, simple depiction of a young woman
undressing on her bed, and in this simplicity lies the series’
power.
There is always a narrative element to Stuart’s work, and
in this series things are no different. At the core of this narrative
lies the element of seduction and discovery. A young woman enters
a room, probably a hotel room. She seems somewhat nervous about
the environment.
The first thing we notice about her is that she is wearing what
appears to be a uniform of some kind. Maybe a waitress uniform,
or a bank teller, or a student. Either way, she looks excellent
and neat. She looks at the camera like she would look at a man.
Is he a friend? A lover? A customer? No matter. She knows what she
wants to do.
She moves to the bed and slips off her tall black pumps. In each
shot, she is slightly less dressed. This is classic Stuart. He knows
how to depict a beautiful young amateur taking off her clothes –
not in a showy way, but in a natural way, like she were actually
doing it for us.
Soon, she is spreading her legs, showing the inner sections of her
panty hose. Soon she is squeezing her naked breasts, looking lovingly,
if somewhat timidly, at her admirer. And we are completely sucked
in. This adorable brunette amateur has us in her grips. She has
danced her way into her heart. The bolero is working!
